 Diversity Foundation Chairman Ed Lohnes presents DF's "Bridging the Gap" Award (2003) to Art Owen of the Prairie Island Dakota Indian Community. The award was presented and accepted posthumously as tribute to Art's parents, Amos & Ione Owen, who's lives were committed to Cross Cultural education, healing and reconciliation, between the Native & European Communities. The Ceremony was part of the first annual Winona-Dakota Reconciliation and Homecoming events in June, 2004 |
